Installing a fire pit is incredibly easy. You will receive an instruction manual to guide you through the process. Most can be assembled using simple tools found in most homes. The average assembly time is just a few minutes. Compare that to a complicated furniture set which can take hours to build! Don't sweat the small stuff either, these packages come with all the necessary bolts and screws.
Pergolas and arches can be ornamental or functional. When using an arch for a functional purpose, you could add a swing or bench to create somewhere cozy to sit and enjoy your garden. A pergola can be useful as an overhead patio or deck covering and can be designed to add shade to an outdoor seating area.
The second decision, in my opinion, is whether you want to have the patio heater just in one place and then not worry about it for years and years or have the versatility to move it where the heat is needed for any particular occasion. There are basically 3 types of patio heaters to consider. One uses propane which means from time to time you will need to fill the tank. The one thing to consider with a propane powered patio heater is the time when the party is just starting to liven up and you run out of propane in the tank. Bummer, now you have to either bring the party indoors (which there might not be enough room), don jackets (maybe some didn’t bring any) or the party breaks up because some are getting chilly and start toward home. I am not trying to talk you out of a propane patio heater, just want you to be aware of all of the possibilities if making this choice.
Poinsettias are in season and their vibrant red, white or pink hues, combined with their green leaves, are enough to add color to any gray and dismal outdoor area. Go to your local supermarket or nursery and stock up on a few of these plants. You can keep them in containers or plant beds outside, but bring them back inside or cover them up if the outdoor temperatures get extremely cold or if a freeze is expected. Be sure to keep them away from pets though. Poinsettias are only mildly toxic to animals, but it's better safe than sorry!
How To Choose The Right Patio Heater: In this article, I will only cover a small amount of the vast information available for a patio heater. One of the first things to consider is the area you are desiring to keep warm on those fall evenings. If you are in a condo or an apartment with just a small patio area to provide heat, maybe a table top patio heater is the right ticket. If your patio covers several hundred square feet, then you might even have to have more than one larger patio heater. Or just maybe, it’s just you and you like to read a book before bedtime and only need heat right where you sit in that all-weather wicker rocker, then think about a directional patio heater. So the first choice you need to make, is how big an area do you need to heat.
