NOTE: Modules do NOT need to be taken in any particular order.

 

This course is designed specifically for anyone anticipating selling cakes either to Family & Friends or as a Commercial Business. A combination of Basic Techniques and Creative Styling, combined with a Professional Business Approach. Learn and understand the tricks of the trade. Pricing Guidelines, Business Essentials & Requirements.

Our tutors have been trained and approved exclusively by PME and each tutor holds a PME Professional Diploma Teacher Training Certificate with a strict renewal process each year to ensure high standards are maintained.

Students are required to have some basic skill levels such as those covered on our beginners cake decoration classes.

Students must attend 25 hours of class time to complete each module. While the rescheduling of a single class by us may be possible, only one reschedule is allowed per student. Any further absences must be made up at the students own cost.

CERTIFICATES & COURSE INFORMATION

Each Module is a completely separate course and it is not essential to complete all Three modules.

The Masters Certificate will only be awarded as and when all Three Modules have been completed.

Each Module has a compulsory 25 hour attendance and you will also be required to do homework and prepare some work at home for the next class.

All students will receive a course book to accompany their chosen module. This includes a "Professional Business Approach" section aimed to help anyone interested in starting up their own cake decorating business. This book is only available to individuals participating in the PME course.

PME Diploma Terms & Conditions - Please read carefully before committing to any of the courses.

THE AWARDING OF CERTIFICATES IS NOT AUTOMATIC. DIPLOMAS AND MASTERS CERTIFICATES ARE ONLY AWARDED ON SUCCESSFULL COMPLETION OF ALL ASPECTS OF THE COURSE TO THE REQUIRED STANDARD.

To facilitate each Diploma students will be supplied with a COMPLIMENTARY tool kit for each module.  Some other essential equipment and materials are not included and a list will be sent out prior to commencement which is NOT included in the course price. These tools are essential and will need to be with you at the classes in order for you to complete the set modules. We do not have this equipment available at the class and a list of items needed will be sent to you when you have registered.

The Cakes and Sugarcraft Shop, School of Cake Decorating will be running all 3 courses with each module having the required 25 hours tutorial time. With the completion of each module a PME Certificate will be awarded and once you have completed all 3 modules you will receive your PME Professional Diploma Masters Certificate. This is an internationally recognised award. Please note that full tutorial time must be completed to be eligible for the award. Missed classes cannot be reimbursed.

Course fees must be paid at time of booking.  We can reserve places for a short period of time but fees must be paid in full before the course begins. 

Students are occasionally expected to produce some items at home in preparation for the next week's class but this is not essential.

Each student will also receive a complimentary course kit to take home.

This course is designed to suit overseas students and students that will need to stay in local accommodation throughout the courses and is also ideal for any local students wishing to take less time off of work and to gain their certificates in a hurry.

Our new very intensive courses will only be run twice a year.  The course will run for 11 days straight and will cover all of aspects of the PME Professional Diploma Course, Masters Certificate.  The cost of the courses includes the use of all tools and equipment along with edibles and other items needed for the course.   The tools are for use at the school only and will not be taken home by the students.   The complimentary kit will be yours to take home.   Cakes and cake dummies will be supplied by the school along with the use of flower making equipment and royal icing.

The 11 day intensive courses will be taught by our Head Tutor Leigh Muschette

Note:  All hours must be completed and time off can not be made up during these courses.  Certificates can only be issued on successful completion on all aspects of the course.  All payments are non refundable unless the course is cancelled for any reason by the school.  Students will not need to bring anything with them to this course other than their lunch.   Tea and coffee are supplied at the school.  All students must have a clear understanding of the English language and must be able to communicate without difficulty.
